Several
members of Congress have expressed concern that the Labor Department has
classified members of survey crews as "laborers and mechanics",
subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. NSPS government affairs consultants, John
M. Palatiello & Associates, Inc. have begun educating Congressmen and
Senators about the controversial new policy and receiving feedback from
lawmakers who want to reverse the Labor Department ruling. A possible
Congressional hearing, at which NSPS may be invited to testify, is among the
actions being considered.
